Reduce Stress - stress can come from both physical and emotional sources.  Stress effects the hormone Cortisol produced by the adrenal glands.  Cortisol speeds healing, is anti-inflammatory and controls excess immune cell production.  Stress also affects Adrenal gland function.

Excercise Regularly - not only will excercise reduce stress but it also elevates mood and strengthens the immune system.  A simple 20 minute walk a day can make a difference.

Eat Healthy - many foods have been proven to help prevent cancer.  It is advised to increase vegetable and fruit intake while reducing fatty foods.

Take Supplements - a healthy body has all the vitamins and minerals necessary to fight disease.  Studies have shown certain vitamins to be effective in fighting cancer including a breakthrough new study highlighting Vitamin D.

Wear Sunscreen - moderate amounts of sunlight are necessary to get Vitamin D and can also help with mood however sunscreens should be used to minimize burning and excessive sun.  Liberally apply sunscreen to exposed skin 30 minutes before venturing outdoors.
